Who are the ELAN Calcium Chew chewable tablets for?
The Calcium Chew chewable tablets have been specially developed for people who have undergone gastric sleeve surgery to meet the additional need for calcium. After a gastric sleeve surgery, your body can absorb less calcium. However, the human body needs a sufficient supply of calcium, as calcium contributes, among other things, to the maintenance of strong bones and teeth and for normal muscle function. The Calcium Chew chewable tablets contain calcium citrate. This form of calcium can be easily absorbed by the body. In addition, vitamin D3 has been added to the Calcium Chew chewable tablets, as it increases the calcium absorption of the bones and also contributes to the maintenance of strong bones and teeth.
Important: The WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) supplements from ELAN (Compass, Believe, Supreme) do not contain calcium, as calcium inhibits the absorption of iron.

What is the recommended dosage and timing of the Calcium Chew chewable tablets?
Take 1 to 2 Calcium Chew chewable tablets per day, preferably between meals or in the evening. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
The amount of calcium you need depends on your surgery. Based on the internationally valid guidelines of the scientific societies (ASMBS and IFSO), we recommend a daily intake of at least 1,200 – 1,500 mg. It is important that you consume up to 500 mg of calcium at a time, so that you also give your body the opportunity and time to absorb the absorbed calcium. How should the Calcium Chew chewable tablets be stored?
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of small children. This dietary supplement is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
