When can you use the Mealsizer® after a stomach reduction?
After a stomach reduction, it is important to adapt your eating habits to the new situation. The Mealsizer® measuring spoons can be a helpful tool for maintaining proper portion sizes. However, it is crucial to always start using the mealizer® in consultation with your nutritionist. Your dietitian can advise you on when is the right time to use the Mealsizer® – usually between 6 and 12 months after surgery – and help you choose the right portion for your individual dietary needs.
How do you use the Mealsizer® after a stomach reduction?
After a stomach reduction, it is essential to consume enough protein. We recommend eating your meals in the following order:
- Start with the portion from the protein spoon. Eat protein-rich foods first, as they are of great importance for your recovery and health.
- Continue with the portion from the vegetable spoon. Vegetables provide important vitamins, minerals and fiber.
- Finish the meal with the portion from the carbohydrate spoon. If you feel full beforehand, at least you have eaten the necessary proteins and vegetables.
By following this order, you will get the most out of your meals and provide your body with the right nutrients.
