For whom are the ELAN Ferro-Vital swallowing tablets intended?

The Ferro-Vital swallowing tablets have been specially developed for people who have undergone gastric sleeve surgery. Iron is an important mineral for your body because iron helps release energy from other nutrients. This important mineral is found in red meat, chicken, bread, and nuts. After gastric sleeve surgery, your body may be able to absorb less iron, which is why it may be necessary to supplement your diet with extra iron. The Ferro-Vital oral tablets were developed for this purpose. They also contain additional copper, as copper ensures the transport of iron through your body.

What is the recommended dosage and the correct time to take the Ferro-Vital oral tablets?

Take 1 Ferro-Vital swallow tablet per day, preferably before or during dinner. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. One Ferro-Vital swallow tablet exceeds the recommended daily dose of iron for an adult. Therefore, you should only take the Ferro-Vital oral tablets on the advice of your doctor or therapist. Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose of Ferro-Vital oral tablets. The dose should only be increased as directed by your doctor or therapist.

If you forget to take your Ferro-Vital swallowing tablet in one day, this is not tragic as long as it does not happen regularly. You can take the Ferro-Vital swallowing tablet again as usual the following day and do not have to make up for the missed daily dose.

Important: If you are also taking the Calcium Vital Oral Tablets or the Calcium Chew Chewable Tablets, take them at a different time than your Ferro-Vital Oral Tablet, as calcium inhibits the absorption of iron. You should wait at least 2 hours between taking the Calcium Vital Chewable Tablet/Calcium Chewable Tablet and the Ferro-Vital Chew Tablet so that your body has enough time to properly absorb the iron contained in the Ferro-Vital Oral Tablet.

How should the Ferro-Vital swallowing tablets be stored?

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of small children. This dietary supplement is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.

What ingredients are contained in the Ferro-Vital swallowing tablets?

Minerals (ferrofumerate and copper citrate), filler (E460, E341), glazing agents (E464, E422, E553b, E903). The product is lactose and gluten free and contains no flavors or fragrances. ELAN’s Ferro-Vital swallowing tablets are halal certified.
